Assistant Production Manager / Materials Manager

The Assistant Production Manager / Materials Manager will work closely with our Production Manager to ensure overall smooth operations as well as successful materials management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the raw materials purchasing function.
• Receiving shipment of raw materials and finished goods, following BFG receiving procedures.
• Verifying accuracy of goods received by comparing to packing slips and purchase orders.
• Counting incoming raw materials and finished goods.
• Performing Quality Assurance checks on all incoming raw materials and finished goods.
• Inspecting shipments for Berry compliance and/or hazardous material labels and MSDS sheets.
• Unloading incoming raw materials and finished goods and ensuring they are properly shelved.
• Assisting in monitoring raw materials and finished goods min/max levels.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the raw material area and assisting in the organization of same.

Qualification Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience as an Assistant Manager in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Candidates must be mechanically inclined and able to perform inventory assemblies.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent oral, verbal, and written communications skills.
• Superior organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently.
