The Patent Pending Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ has revolutionized the way we carry automatic rifles. Developed with industry friend, firearms expert, and former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ incorporates key features from real world experience that makes the sling effective and durable - the choice sling requested by name. The Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ has been our most popular product of all- with service in every branch of service here at home as well as several foreign militaries.

Able to quickly transition from carrying a slung rifle comfortably to combat ready, the patent pending Quick Adjuster has bridged the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings – from transporting to fighting. All VCAS™ Slings are built with precision and pride right here at home in the US with superior materials.

  • TEX 90 bonded nylon thread – never had a sling returned for stitching failure
  • Invista Solution Dyed CORDURA® webbing – low IR, soft enough for comfort but stiff enough to prevent rolling and hardening
  • ITW Acetal Hardware – Ghillie-Tex™ low IR military grade plastic reduces noise and weight (on OA models only)
  • Differentiated Adjuster pull tab – different color stands out enough for quick adjustment, tactile indicator for use in the dark or with gloved hands.

To provide greater versatility, no attachment hardware is included but can still be threaded through existing slings loops. This sling combined with any variation of hardware the Sling Hardware section enables this sling to attach to almost any weapon.

Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ is available in two hardware options - Acetal, a low IR military grade plastic or machined aluminum.

  • Acetal hardware (OA Models) has acetal adjuster, Acetal triglides.
  • Machined aluminum (OM Models) have machined and anodized aluminum adjuster, steel triglides.

As with all Blue Force Gear, it is made with excellence in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

  1. USMC proven!

Posted by Unknown on 13th Nov 2012

I used this sling for two solid months while going through USMC School Of Infantry, this sling hands down is the best thing i have ever used, and allows for lightning fast adjustments while going from prone to an all out run etc etc!

  2. Best sling on the market. By far.

Posted by John on 29th Jun 2012

I own two of these slings, both with the captured swivels. I recommend them to everyone. I used the VTAC sling for two years while in Afghanistan and never had a problem with them, but this is a far superior product.

The material is better and stronger. I really like the width of the strap compared to the VTAC sling. I honestly didn't notice it prior to using this sling, but the VTAC sling is too slim.

The Differentiated Adjuster pull tab is a vast improvement over the string pull tab on the VTAC model.

However, my only recommendation to improve this product relates to the Differentiated Adjuster pull tab. The hardware is plastic. I would very much prefer it be metal. The difference in weight between metal and plastic on this very small part is nowhere near significant to matter in my opinion.

    Very, very highly recommended.

  3. there are vickers slings and all those other pices of s**t

Posted by lonewolf on 18th Jun 2012

I own 7 of these slings. I bought two about 2 yrs ago and never looked back. At first I bought 2 and thought I would just switch from one rifle to the other. But I decided not to do that. As of now I own 12 ar15's so I need 5 more. I have tried about every sling out there. Once my friends saw them they wanted to know where they could get them. So for me there is only one sling system - Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat sling. If LAV help design it you know it's the best. Thanks Blue Force for the best sling made.

  4. Multi platform sling

Posted by Gater on 16th Mar 2012

I have used this sling on the C-8, C-7, and the C-9 platforms of the Canadian military. I have used it parachuting, in mountain operations, in CQB, dismounted and mounted. It is by far the greatest sling to use as it can be quickly adjusted to any and all situations with a quick pull on the adjuster strap. I have it on my M-14, M15 Bushmaster, 870 and my Ruger Scout at home. Wont even imagine using another sling. If your looking for a versatile sling system, either in your backwoods or on a two way range, this is it my friends!!!

  5. I finally found the right one!

Posted by WTL on 17th Jan 2012

After deployments Afghanistan, I think I tried every sling on the market. At the end of my last deployment I was using 550cord and some horse lead clips that my wife sent me! Now that I got my VCAS I think this it the one sling that works for everything from mounted to foot patrols. I watched some local law enforcement try the single point crap I showed them my VCAS on my SBR M4 and they are switching over to the VCAS also. TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT!!!!! Anyone heading down range this is a must have piece of kit! Don't waste your money or your life on anything else!

  6. The sling I've always wanted...

Posted by Sean on 3rd Oct 2011

In trying to find a great sling, I have acquired a stack of slings, from cheap to brand name, that have all have been less than I desired. I always knew there was something better out there. Well, this is it. This sling is comfortable, durable, adjusts easily, fits well and most importantly, really works. I love it. I'm back on the page today to order more for my other rifles. This sling gets my wholehearted, two thumbs up recommendation.

  7. Second to NONE, period.

Posted by USASOC NCO on 11th Jul 2011

The Vickers Combat Application Sling (VCAS) is the most practical second to none sling on the market today. What sparks me is all the “Gucci Gear” commanders that purchase sub standard slings. Just ask your Gucci Gear commander how to use it? It is quite funny actually. All around simply the best sling second to none. Do not waste your time with the other knock off variations or copies of this sling. The VCAS is very simple and not spider webbed all over your weapon, it it to the point and on target to save your life. Again, Second to none.

  8. amazing two-point sling

Posted by a USAF NCO on 13th Apr 2011

I've used this sling for over 3 years (including 2 deployments in Afghanistan), i would suggest this to anyone who carries a M4.it works well over IBA. the ability to change the length of the sling, in seconds, is awesome.

  9. Awesome sling for patrol oriented LEOs

Posted by Bryan on 7th Mar 2011

I just spent the weekend going through a course with my agency to be able to carry a long gun in a patrol setting. I got recommended this sling by a friend of mine who loved it. Out of all the slings mine seemed to be the most adaptable and least likely to cause platform problems under stress. A lot of the guys there had problems during transition drills with the "one" (edited) point sling as the gun would fall and hit their genital region causing pain and adverse physical reactions. The vickers sling easily allowed me to throw the rifle over my shoulder while doing handcuffing drills to keep the gun out of the way from a gun grab and the quick adjust system made it simple to change sides, get into the prone position, and even use to hasty sling the gun for added stability on longer standing shots. If you work in a patrol function I feel that this is an excellent option and also feel the price isn't unreasonable for a quality, extremely well made sling.

  10. Great sling

Posted by Kevin T on 18th Dec 2010

I have two of these sings on my guns and I think they are the best 2 point slings around. They fit great and adjust easily. I prefer the quick release buckle at the fore end of the gun where it won't come between my cheek and stock. Either way, it's a great sling.
