The Patent Pending Vickers Combat Applications Sling has revolutionized the way weapons are carried. Developed with industry friend, firearms expert, and former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ incorporates key features from real world experience that makes the sling effective and durable - the choice sling requested by name. The Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ has been our most popular product of all- with service in every branch of service here at home as well as several foreign militaries.

Able to quickly transition from carrying a slung rifle comfortably to combat ready, the patent pending Quick Adjust has bridged the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings – from transporting to fighting. All VCAS™ Slings are built with precision and pride right here at home in the US with superior materials.

  • TEX 90 bonded nylon thread – never had a sling returned for stitching failure
  • INVISTA Solution Dyed CORDURA® webbing – low IR, soft enough for comfort but stiff enough to prevent rolling and hardening
  • ITW Acetal Hardware – Ghillie-Tex™ low IR military grade plastic reduces noise and weight (on OA models only)
  • Differentiated Adjuster pull tab – different color stands out enough for quick adjustment, tactile indicator for use in the dark or with gloved hands
  • Features a 2” tubular padded webbing for additional comfort

To provide greater versatility, no attachment hardware is included but can still be threaded through existing slings loops. This sling combined with any variation of hardware the Sling Hardware section enables this sling to attach to almost any weapon.

Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ is available in two hardware options - Acetal, a low IR military grade plastic or machined aluminum.

  • Acetal hardware (OA Models) have Acetal adjuster and triglides.
  • Machined aluminum (OM Models) have machined and anodized aluminum adjuster, steel triglides.

As with all Blue Force Gear, it is made with excellence in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

  1. best sling money can buy!!

Posted by nick p. on 9th Mar 2013

You simply cant buy another sling that will outlast, perform better, or be more comfortable. Bought this sling for my new 6.5 Grendel build. Wasted my money on my tapco sling for my ar-15. Looks like I will be buying another one from Blue Force for my AR. Buy one and you will not regret!

Anyone want the cheap tapco sling??

  2. Best Sling on the Market

Posted by Mike Zull on 24th Oct 2012

This sling functions flawlessly. The sliding feature is smooth and easy, couldn't be better. Great product. I made a mistake by ordering a Magpul ms3 sling first because it was a little cheaper, The old analogy of you get what you pay for holds true to fact. Thanks Alex for all your help on the other items as well. Great customer service.

  3. Not enough stars to rate this sling.

Posted by Drenman on 27th Jun 2012

This is pretty much my favorite sling. OK seriously I had to pull the N.D. reference, this is absolutely the ONLY sling I will use now, and unless they make something out of gold for the same price, the only one I'll probably buy in the future. I haven't read all the revues but one of my favorite features in this, isn't the pulls, or design, it's the material it's made of. It's not that godawful plastic nylon webbing material, it has almost a cotton feel to it, you know....It doesn't bite into you, it feels great, it runs smoothly through both metal and acetyl sliders, and the quick adjust slider pull is the best of all the copies, not a loop to get caught on something, or the like. I can't say enough of how much I absolutely love this sling. When I add another baby to the family, it get's a BFG/Vicker's sling. I'd like to try the medic version, because the ability to super tight sling it across my back to work.

  4. Best sling!

Posted by Josh on 20th Jun 2012

First of all, this is the 4th "premium" sling I've tried for my tactical rifle. The others (being a Magpul MS2, VTAC "Upgraded", and a Cross-Tac) just didn't do what I needed them to, how I needed them to do it... But I just ran my coyote VCAS through it's first 2-day carbine course and I couldn't be happier. This thing is comfortable, rugged, quiet, and adjusts precisely and quickly. I opted for the padded version because I run this on an AK SBR that weighs in over 10lbs loaded. The VCAS manages the weight effortlessly, transitions are quick and smooth, and it makes for a very stable platform without any hooks, elastic, or other crap. Thanks BFG!

  5. Great slings

Posted by Tom on 25th May 2012

This sling was given to me as a gift and it lasted about 7 months in Iraq. I enjoyed the range as this sling fits well over an IOTV. As mentioned in the previous review, the plastic buckles are quiet and will not scratch your weapon. My front plastic buckle broke while I was walking around the FOB likely from something else I did before. In the future, I will be ordering mine with the aluminum hardware. If you put your stuff through the ringer and cannot except failure go with the aluminum. If you own a safe queen and cannot live with the though of getting it scratched just get the plastic.

  6. On my 4th one now

Posted by Unknown on 27th Jan 2012

Just purchased my 4th padded sling. First one in Coyote from a store. Then one black and one ATACS from this website. And the latest one in ATACS from Spec Ops Outfitters (since you can’t get ATACS direct from BFG any more). Unlike one of the other reviewers who find the sling slightly too long, I find it slightly too short but clearly the positives on this sling outweigh that issue. The material of this sling is exceptionally high quality and construction is well thought out. Stitching is strong, adjustment is easy, quality is evident in every aspect of this sling. The colors are true to the design (ATACS & Coyote) and all of the colors are vivid and have not had any fading issues. Also the colors are accurately depicted on this website. The acetal is indeed quiet and won’t scratch your weapon. Some folks have indicated they got the padded design for heavier ARs – I just got the padded version because it’s super comfortable and protects my shoulder during long sessions. This is the only sling I use now and I highly recommend it. Note to anyone looking for ATACS: Apparently the rights to the ATACS pattern have been sold, so BFG can make them but not sell them and they are not very easy to find (as of Jan 2012). Before you buy from any online distributer make sure you VERIFY that they actually have them in stock (i.e. call them; don’t believe the website when it says “in stock”).

    Administrator:
Yes ATACS is available exclusively through AmChar Wholesale. Ask your local dealer if they can get them through AmChar or call AmChar and ask for the closest BFG Stocking Dealer. Glad you liked it!

  7. Great Sling

Posted by Paul on 7th Jul 2011

I use this sling with my Colt M4 Match Target Carbine. I should first say that I am a right handed shooter and use a sling adaptor for my quad-rail system that is set as close to the reciever as possible and I have a sling point on the end of the reciever. The sling works as advertised, the quick adjustor is phenomenal. The sling fully adjusted without any gear on is slightly too long, but nothing major and nothing I can't deal with. The only changes I would make would be to shorten the sling and add a Mamba style elastic stretchy thing that doesn't interfere with the quick slide and probably add something that grips a little better on the bottom of the padded portion. Overall this is a great sling that dramastically improves transition from either right to left shooting and transition to a secondary weapon. Well done, Blue Force, well done.

  8. High quality and easy to use!

Posted by Steve on 13th Mar 2011

I am using this sling with my S&W M&P 15 MOE. The soft nylon webbing is outstanding. This sling is very comfortable and can be adjusted to hold your carbine close to your body for hands free movement. A great piece of gear and the service from Blue Force is absolutely the best. Very nice people to deal with!

  9. Nice sling

Posted by Kevin T. on 18th Dec 2010

I bought this sling for my Rock River LAR 15/ M-4 pattern rifle. The gun has a heavy barrel and some weighty accessories so I decided to upgrade from the standard Vickers CAP sling to the padded version. While I like the padded part and feel it supports the rifle nicely I am having issues getting it to fit just right. The tri glide fastener binds between my stock and face causing discomfort. I am considering cutting off the extra length and stitching on a push button sling attachment but I am reluctant to modify this new sling.
