Battle Belt CHLK

The CHLK® Belt by Blue Force Gear

Short for “Combat Helo Load-rated Kit,” the Blue Force Gear CHLK Belt revolutionizes modern battle belt design. Crafted around the needs of helicopter assaulters, it features the hardened points required to tether themselves to the anchor points on a helicopter. The CHLK Belt combines modern materials with innovative design to create a lightweight, low-profile duty belt with added life saving protection. As a part of the 2023 update, the CHLK Belt now features a removable, molded glove hanger.

Natural Fitting MOLLE Belt Curve

A Battle Belt Engineered for Comfort

Inspired by the changes leather belts undergo after they have been broken in from everyday use, the CHLK Belt features a 32-degree curve designed to mimic the contour of the human waist. The belt also features a subtle outward cant from top to bottom, resulting in a more comfortable fit at both the waist and the hips. This makes it far better suited for long-term wear than typical flat-profile battle belts.

Load-rated Features

The CHLK Belt was designed to fulfill two roles: a premier duty belt and safety equipment for commandos to securely snap into helicopters while performing INFIL/EXFIL and during flight. The belt has two semi-rigid tether points at the front and rear, an ANSI spec load-rated buckle, and proprietary Dyneema®-nylon hybrid webbing for a static load rating of 3500 lbs.

MOLLEminus™ Outer Belt

The MOLLE-compatible outer belt is designed to attach via hook-and-loop to the updated inner belt securely and fastens with a load-rated buckle. Using modern materials, including our ULTRAcomp high-performance laminate, the outer belt is lightweight and flexible enough for long-term comfort. Still, it is rigid enough to serve as a stable attachment platform for pouches and duty holsters.

Updated ULTRAcomp® Inner Belt Design

The cushioned inner belt, laser cut from our ULTRAcomp high-performance laminate, can also be worn independently as a lightweight EDC or pistol belt. The ULTRAcomp inner belt has been updated for 2023 to include a G-Hook for improved fit and a more secure connection.

MOLLE Compatible

The CHLK Belt uses our precision laser cut MOLLEminus design that is compatible with pouches utilizing our own Helium Whisper® technology and pouches featuring legacy MOLLE and belt-mounted systems. We eliminate the possibility of stitching failures that can occur with standard PALS loops by cutting MOLLEminus slots directly into the ULTRAcomp. The MOLLEminus system gives the user more mounting options for gear than what is possible with traditional MOLLE systems.

AVOID DISSAPPOINTMENT – HOW TO SIZE

The CHLK Belt was sized similar to the Crye Precision G3 Combat Pant and NOT your typical jeans or pants size. Avoid disappointment and the delay in returning your CHLK Belt for a different size that could potentially be out of stock.

Instructions

How to Get Your Correct Belt Size

  1. Put on your duty pants or equivalent
  2. Take your pants belt and wrap it around your waist where your belt loops are
  3. Guide the tail of the belt over the tip of the buckle and mark the spot with your finger or a piece of tape, where the belt meets the buckle at its tightest point
  4. Lay your belt on a table and measure with a tape measure from the tip of the buckle to the marked spot
  5. Find you’re the range of your specific measurement and then order the size to the right of that.

Watch Video Instructions

When in doubt, go up one size. For optimal stability, the ends of the CHLK Belt need to overlap and secure to each other contrast to other MOLLE belts where you would want it smaller.

My Blue Force Gear CHLK Belt saved my life.

Posted by Chuck Pressburg on May 9th 2025

I was assisting in the training of an LE client, doing some aerial platform target engagement training. At approximately 11:50PM that night, the platform I was on executed an unscheduled hard landing to prevent departing flight. On impact I was ejected from the aircraft as it started a roll. My Blue Force Gear CHLK Belt saved my life. It was coupled with my safety lanyard and kept me close enough to the airframe that the impacting rotors couldn’t get me. The rotor impacts with the ground righted the aircraft to keep me from being crushed. I was transported to the hospital along with all of the other passengers and crew with a suspected fractured arm and shock. Thankfully, I was spared of internal ruptures, fractures, or C-spine damage. I underwent weeks of physical therapy to regain some use of my left arm. I’m thankful for a great company who makes professional-grade gear that literally saves lives.

    It's the best!

It's the best belt I've ever bought! Totally worth the money. The modulation with all the Molle slots is perfection. It holds everything beautifully!

    Best Belt Ever

Posted by Justin B on Jun 10th 2023

Was recommended the CHLK belt by my Army Ranger buddy. I've purchased several items from BFG before so I knew their quality was top notch. The CHLK belt is so comfortable, I forget I have it on me! It's also extremely light weight. The more precise fit also helps a lot.

    Nothing better

Exceeds all expectations. Note, it offers about 4 inches of adjustment (two in each direction of size). Be sure to measure your waist carefully.

    CHLK Belt

Posted by Capt Nemo on Jan 14th 2023

Well I had a lot of excellent things to say, until I read the reviews. Everyone has said everything all ready. So I don’t need to say anything other then ‘best gun belt ever’.

    Comparison Review

Posted by Legion Preparedness on Dec 12th 2022

I’ve ran and reviewed more than 10 belts during my military carrier and this belt is hands down the most comfortable belt to wear compared to crye, ctoms, ferro, gbrs, safelife, ronin, aws, 21st tac, kore, and a handful of others. Each belt has its own pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses, and areas they perform and fail. But when you look at BFGs belts both the chalk and the grid the contour of the belt is the most comfortable, it sits on the hips the best and for women it crushes all the competitors. The over all construction is top notch and you have a lot of over all versatility with the inner and our belt and various ways you can configure the belt to your mission, environment, and duty position. Outstanding work to BFG this is definitely in my top five for belts I will be recommending in the future!

    Fantastic Belt

Posted by Tripod on Aug 20th 2022

Absolutely love this belt. Great quality, ridiculously comfortable, works as it should, and keeps everything together very well. I was concerned about the huge tie in point on the back, but it smashes down to accept my IFAK without any issues.

    Light, Rigid, Comfortable

Posted by Justin Branham on Sep 28th 2021

BFG has a killer belt on their hands. This belt is exceptionally light while also being quite rigid. The pre-shaped construction of the CHLK belt really does seem to make a difference in comfort. Attachment is secure and solid, with multiple points of overlap for a seamless as well as solid look and feel. Buy with confidence!

    Must have kit

Posted by AJ on Aug 15th 2021

Been running this belt at work for a while now and decided to replace most of my belt systems with this. very light and can take a hell of a beating. Love how rigid it is and fits to my body like a glove. Has seen countless hours of runtime and still looks like new for the most part. So most of my pouches are BFG and First spear due to how they attach but word of advice to everyone that run HSGI or ESSTAC. Ditch the polymer connectors and get maxpedition tacties. You'll thank me
